How do I use TrainAsONE?

Using TrainAsONE is a partnership between you and our AI. Your role is to provide the destination and the basic rules of the road; our AI's role is to handle the complex navigation, constantly recalculating the best route to get you there.

This guide breaks down the simple, three-step process.

Step 1: Set Your Goals & Keep Us Updated

Your primary job is to provide the AI with the right information. This involves:

  • Stating Your Goals: Tell us what you're training for, whether it's a specific race (like a marathon) or a general fitness objective.

  • Defining Your Constraints: Let us know your training preferences, such as your available days to run, your time availability, and your preference for an easier or harder plan.

  • Logging Your Health: It is crucial to log any periods of illness or injury via your Dashboard. This information allows the AI to make safe and appropriate adjustments to your plan.

Step 2: Record and Confirm Your Runs

After setting up your plan, your main interaction with the system happens after each run.

  • Record Your Activity: Simply record your runs using your preferred running watch or a phone app. The data from most popular services can be set up to synchronise automatically with TrainAsONE.

  • Automatic Analysis: As soon as we receive your run data, our AI analyses your performance. Additionally it attempts to link the activity to the corresponding workout in your plan. This provides you with an adherence score and a 'planned vs. performed' comparison. Please note: these features are for your informational benefit only. When rebuilding your plan, our AI bases its calculations solely on the data from the run you actually performed, not on how well it matched the schedule.

  • Confirm & Give Feedback: This automatic matching isn't always perfect. Therefore, a final step is to check the Run Confirmation Card on your Dashboard after each run. This card allows you to confirm the run is linked correctly and, just as importantly, to provide subjective feedback on how the run felt (for example, your perceived effort). This combination of objective data and your subjective experience ensures your plan adapts with the most accurate and complete information.

Step 3: Let the AI Adapt Your Plan

This is the easiest step - you don't have to do anything. Based on the data from your runs, the AI automatically and continuously rebuilds your plan to keep you on the most efficient path to your goal. This adaptation happens in response to everything you do: completed runs, extra (unplanned) runs, and missed runs.

The system also makes advanced adjustments for environmental factors like the weather forecast and the anticipated elevation changes of your next run.

Essentially, your main responsibilities are to run and to keep your goals and health status up-to-date. TrainAsONE handles the rest.
