Does TrainAsONE use my Heart Rate Variability (HRV) data to adjust my training plan?

No. This is a deliberate decision based on our research and the quality of data currently available.

While TrainAsONE may receive HRV data from third-party services (like Garmin Connect) or dedicated HRV apps (like HRV4Training), our algorithm does not currently use this information to generate or adapt your running plan.

Our internal research has concluded that the type of HRV data available (primarily overnight averages) does not currently improve the quality of training prescription and can introduce statistical noise. This finding is supported by a growing body of scientific research that shows the performance benefits of HRV-guided training over static training plans are often minimal to non-existent (and a TrainAsONE plan is not a static plan!).
