How do I lock a day in my training plan?

TrainAsONE continually adapts your plan as your fitness and your life change. Sometimes there is a day you want kept exactly as it is — a session you have committed to, or a rest day you do not want moved. Locking is how you hold that day in place.

What locking does

Locking a day tells TrainAsONE to keep that day — its workout, or its rest day — exactly as it is. A locked day will not be changed when your plan next updates.

Locking does not rebuild your plan and changes nothing immediately. It simply takes effect at your next plan update (for example, after a run is analysed). Until then the day was not going to change anyway.

To lock a single day

  1. Open your Training Calendar.
  2. Find the day and click its padlock switch — the open padlock is the unlocked (left) option and the closed padlock the locked (right) one. Click the closed padlock to lock the day.
  3. The day is tinted and the padlock shows as closed.

You can do the same from the Next Workout card on your Dashboard: the same padlock switch sits in the card's bottom bar, so you can hold the very next session with one click.

Telling a locked day at a glance

A locked day is tinted, shows a closed padlock, and its date is no longer a link you can click to edit. Hovering the padlock button in the calendar toolbar tells you what is currently held — for example Locked days: 3.

To unlock a day

Click the padlock switch again to return it to the open (unlocked) position, or release a range of days with the Unlock days menu.

Tip: You can lock a rest day just as easily as a day with a workout — locking simply means "leave this day alone".

Note: the padlock is not offered on a race day (the race owns the day) or on a day whose run has already been analysed, and it is replaced by a read-only clock icon on days inside a rolling lock. See Can I lock a race day or a day in the past?.
