Can I remove a custom workout I've set for a day and then bring it back later?

Yes. When you open the Training Day Rules dialog for a day that has a custom workout, you'll see a "Remove custom workout for this day" link at the bottom of the form. This lets you delete the per-date override while keeping your weekday defaults intact.
To remove a custom workout for a specific date
- On the Training Calendar, click the pencil icon next to the date to open Training Day Rules.
- Scroll to the bottom of the dialog.
- Click "Remove custom workout for this day".
- The dialog will close and the page will reload — the day will revert to whatever the AI or your weekday defaults prescribe.
To re-instate the custom workout later
- Open the Training Day Rules dialog for the same date again.
- The form will now be empty, ready for you to set a new rule.
- Click "Re-instate custom workout".
- The fields will be pre-filled with your weekday defaults (e.g., your recurring Parkrun settings). You can adjust them if needed.
- Click Save.
TrainAsONE will detect if your settings exactly match the weekday default and collapse the per-date rule, avoiding unnecessary duplicates in your Training Settings.
Tip: This is particularly useful for recurring events like Parkrun — you can skip a single Saturday without losing your Parkrun configuration for future Saturdays.
