Why has my plan build been suspended?

Why has my plan build been suspended?

TrainAsONE needs your feedback as well as your runs. If you stop using TrainAsONE altogether, we stop building your plan rather than keep generating workouts nobody is following.

What triggers a suspension

If you have not used TrainAsONE — the website or the mobile app — for three weeks, plan building is suspended automatically.

Note that only your use of TrainAsONE counts. Activities arriving from your watch or a connected service do not: a Garmin, Strava, Suunto or COROS connection will keep sending your runs, but if you never look at your plan we have no way of knowing whether it still suits you, whether you did the sessions, or how they felt.

You are warned twice first

Two emails come before a suspension:

  • The first, ten days before suspension, reads “We noticed that you have not recently used TrainAsONE, so we will automatically suspend your training plan in 10 days.”
  • The final one arrives two days before, and reads “You have 48 hours to prevent your training plan being suspended.”

Both state the time you actually have left, so a warning that arrives late never overstates it.

Each email carries a Log in now button. Logging in to TrainAsONE — on the website or in the app — is all it takes: both warnings clear, and nothing is suspended.

Note: the warnings are sent as reminder emails. If you have turned reminder emails off you will not receive them, but the suspension still happens, so your Dashboard will show it.

What a suspension does — and does not do

While your plan is suspended:

  • your Calendar shows no workouts;
  • no upcoming workout emails are sent;
  • nothing new is built until you resume.

It does not affect your account or your data. Your subscription is untouched, and every activity you have recorded stays exactly where it is. Suspending a plan is not the same as suspending an account.

How to resume

Open your Dashboard or Calendar. A banner reads Your training plan is suspended with a Resume training button. On your first visit you may instead see a full-page notice, offering Resume training or Leave plan suspended.

Press Resume training and a new plan is built straight away from your current fitness — nothing is lost, and there is no penalty for having been away. Leave plan suspended simply keeps things as they are until you press Resume.

Suspended versus paused

A suspended plan is one we stopped building because we had not heard from you. A paused plan is one you chose to pause until a date you set — see How do I pause my training plan?. Resuming a suspension does not clear a pause you set yourself, so if you are still resting, adjust or clear the pause date too.

For the notices that appear on your pages, see What is the banner at the top of my Dashboard or Calendar?.
