How do I skip a run on a specific day without changing my weekly schedule?

Sometimes life gets in the way — an unexpected meeting, travel, or just needing an extra rest day. You can tell TrainAsONE to treat a single day as a "no-run day" without altering your recurring weekly setup (e.g., your custom Saturday Parkrun).

On the Calendar

  1. Open your Training Calendar.
  2. Find the day you want to skip.
  3. Click the I cannot run on this day icon (filled blue circle with an X) next to the date.
  4. A confirmation dialog will appear: "Make {day} a no-run day?"
  5. Click Yes.

The day immediately becomes a rest day. TrainAsONE does not rebuild your whole plan for this — it simply removes the run from that date, leaving the rest of your plan alone. Your original weekday defaults (e.g., Parkrun every Saturday) remain unchanged for future weeks.

On the Dashboard

  1. On your Dashboard, find the Next Workout card.
  2. In the bottom bar, click the I cannot run on this day button.
  3. Confirm with Yes when prompted.

Note: This works even on a day inside a rolling lock — your decision takes precedence for that day, and the rolling lock itself is left untouched.

Tip: You're free to change your mind later — open that day's Training Day Rules dialog by clicking the pencil icon on the calendar, and remove or edit the per-date rule. Or use Let TrainAsONE plan this day to have the AI schedule a run again.

Note: “I cannot run on this day” is not offered on a race day or on a day whose run is already counted and analysed — there is nothing to skip. It is also not offered on a post-race rest day (the day is already a rest day); use “Let TrainAsONE plan this day” there to return to training early.
