I have changed and then reverted my training settings, but my plan is now different to before. Why?
The Short Answer
TrainAsONE is a dynamic, "live" system. Every time you make a change to your settings or calendar, even if you immediately undo it, the AI performs a full recalculation of your entire training journey. Because there are thousands of mathematical paths to reach your target, the "new" path identified by the AI may look different than the "old" one, even though your goal remains the same.
Why isn't the plan static?
Most training apps use pre-set templates. TrainAsONE uses a complex mathematical model that treats your plan as a single, fluid equation. When you change a variable (like moving a workout day), the system doesn't just move a block; it re-evaluates the most efficient way to reach your goal from this exact moment in time.
Think of it like a car's GPS satellite navigation. If you take a wrong turn, the GPS doesn't just route you back to where you made the mistake to resume the original path. Instead, it instantly recalculates an entirely new, optimal route to your destination from your current location. TrainAsONE does exactly this for your running goals. Every time you change a setting, it triggers a 'recalculation', finding the best path forward from where you are right now.
When the system recalculates, it considers:
- Your most recent health data and run history.
- Your current fatigue and recovery levels.
- The remaining time until your race.
Even if you move a setting back to where it was, the AI might identify a slightly more optimal sequence of runs for the upcoming weeks based on its latest "re-evaluation" of your fitness data. In data science, this is known as non-deterministic behavior — it means the system is always looking for the current best answer, rather than simply repeating a previous one.
Can I Get Back My Old Plan
Yes, you can revert to a previous plan. Please see the following FAQ on how to achieve this:
Is it a problem if my plan changes?
Not at all. In fact, it’s a sign that the system is working. A plan that never changes is a plan that isn't listening to your body. You can trust that the AI is simply fine-tuning the daily details to keep you in the most effective training zone.
